Meet Kira
Kira Cauldwell
FOUNDER & PSYCHOLOGY TUTOR, MIND & MARKS
I'm a PhD researcher in Health Psychology with a BSc in Psychology (2:1) and an MSc in Clinical Psychology (Merit). I specialise in psychology, mental health and behavioural research, with experience in literature reviews, research methods, evidence synthesis and professional writing.
My tutoring is patient, clear and individualised. We start by finding out what is actually causing the difficulty — a concept, an exam skill, confidence, or simply how a topic was first explained — and then rebuild it in a way that makes sense to that student. Alongside subject knowledge, I teach the academic skills that carry across every topic: planning answers, evaluating research, structuring essays and revising effectively.
“I believe students often struggle not because they cannot understand psychology, but because the way something has been explained has not clicked for them yet.”

How I teach
Patient
I work at the student's pace, revisiting ideas as often as needed.
Individualised
Sessions are shaped around the exam board, course and specific difficulties.
Non-judgemental
No question is too small, and nothing is assumed about prior knowledge.
Understanding first
The aim is genuine understanding, not memorising phrases for an exam.
